Elbert Hubbard
June 19, 1856 – May 7, 1915


Elbert Hubbard was an American writer, publisher, artist, and philosopher.

Hubbard described himself as an anarchist and a socialist. He believed in social, economic, domestic, political, mental and spiritual freedom. He wrote a critique of war, law and government in the booklet Jesus Was An Anarchist (1910).
