Jimi Hendrix was an American musician and singer-songwriter.

He is still widely considered to be the greatest electric guitarist in music history and one of the most influential musicians of his era.

Hendrix won many prestigious rock music awards in his lifetime, and has been posthumously awarded many more.

On September 18, 1970, Jimi Hendrix died in London. The reasons of his death remain uncertain. The official cause of death was inhalation of vomit after barbiturate intoxication but many other theories are still discussed among his fans.
